The future landscape of disinformation
What is the future of disinformation and fact-checking considering the arrival of easy-to-use tools for creating deceptive online content with new tools based on generative AI? How can we navigate this new landscape of information disorder?
During the past two years, The Nordic Observatory for Digital Media and Information Disorder (NORDIS), a consortium of researchers and fact-checkers from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland, and one of the regional EDMO hubs, has been working to address these issues.
At our final conference on August 15, we will present the results of our research and journalism and the way forward for our hub.
Prominent speakers are:
- NORDIS PI Anja Bechmann, Professor School of Communication and Culture, Aarhus University
- Lucas Graves, Professor in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of Wisconsin–Madison
- Tobias Bornakke, chair of the Nordic Think Tank for Tech and Democracy.
